A Plumbing Emergency in Gladesville

Lennie could not quite figure out where the smell was coming from. For the last few days, she had been experiencing an obnoxious smell from the bathroom. This generally happened when anyone used the toilet.

For the most part, Lennie had become habituated to the smell and she generally kept the bathroom closed at all times. She knew that it was not an issue with cleanliness but that the smell was coming from the drain or the commode.

That was when her aunt and her friends announced their visit to Gladesville. The three ladies wanted a place to stay during their three-day trip. Since Lennie lived in a large house all by herself (if you did not count the dogs), they figured this was the best place to stay. She had been pressing her aunt for a visit for some time now, anyways.

But that meant she had to fix the smell in the bathroom urgently. She could not ignore it any longer and keep procrastinating. She just had to find an emergency Gladesville plumber for the job.

She called several plumbers from the Yellow Pages but none of them could attend to her immediately. Many did not even pick up the phone. She never imagined that finding a good plumber in Gladesville was such a difficult task!

That was when she came across an old brochure in her file. It was a Gladesville plumber’s brochure. She read through the brochure quickly and was quite impressed. These plumbers serviced all sorts of plumbing problems in Putney, Hunters Hill, Huntleys Cove, East Ryde and Linley Point. They also offered to attend to emergency plumbing repairs. In fact, they mentioned that they would visit any house within two hours! If that was true, then, this was the plumber she was looking for.

She called the plumber and was delighted when they offered to come and check out the plumbing emergency in an hour’s time. She hadn’t really expected these emergency plumbers to stick to their promise.

The plumber came on time and checked out the toilet. He discovered that the pipe leading from the commode to the wall was leaking when they flushed the commode. The water was escaping and that was the source of the smell.

The plumber fixed the leak quickly. He then asked her to let it dry for a few hours. He assured her that the smell would not return and he even offered her a guarantee for the work he had done.

Just as the plumber had promised, the smell never returned. Lennie was very happy with the service of this emergency plumber, and she stored his number so that she never had to chase a plumber in case of plumbing problems in the future.
